NEdit is a GUI (Graphical User Interface) style text editor for programs and plain-text files. [...] NEdit provides all of the standard menu, dialog, editing, and mouse support, as well as all of the standard shortcuts to which the users of modern GUI based environments are accustomed. For users of older style Unix editors, welcome to the world of mouse-enhanced editing!
The homepage of NEdit is at www.nedit.org (it used to be at www-pat.fnal.gov/nirvana/nedit.html ). There it's source code can be found. All stable OS/2 patches I have are part of the source distribution, some issues still have to be addressed.
LessTif (the underlying GUI-toolkit) and NEdit do not always work together perfectly well. Therefore I suggest to keep an eye on the current LessTif versions. Even in the current one are remaining problems, but it's getting better!
