HF-Lab (HeightField Lab)
Short description taken from the README:
HF-Lab is designed to generate heightfields for use as landscapes or other
surfaces in a computer-generated image. It can generate, manipulate,
display, load and save heightfields. The display functions are greyscale
previews only; it is intended that a raytracer such as the freeware
POV-Ray be used to generate the final output image. The program runs on
PCs under DOS and Unix workstations using X Windows.
Now here's the OS/2 version !
I am NOT the author of this package, I did nothing except adapting a
makefile of the original distribution to EMX,
- re-mapping the X11-graphics routines to the ones offered by SVGAKIT
- adapting for
XFree86 for OS/2
and creating the binaries.

(3rd OS/2-release, 290808 Bytes)
This includes most of the documentation of the original distribution
and of course the binaries.
Note that this package is in an early state and probably
buggy (except from some features that definitively
don't work and these are many) :-(
The graphics preview under PM is not very usable as the program
never returns back from display so far (I'm working on this)
Nevertheless if you're interested in this package try it now and give
me some feedback !
- To run the binaries above you need
- the EMX-runtime package, especially some dlls contained in
emxrt.zip
- as an option Johannes Martin's
VESA package and SVGA-Kit version 1.9
