XBoard

Well, there's not much to say about it:
XBoard is a free graphical interface to Chess software. It was written by Tim Mann.
Some Important Notes:
  1. XBoard was available for XFreeOS2 in a previous version already.

  2. I'm aware of at least three "free" chess programs which can be used with xboard on OS/2:
    1. GnuChess
    2. crafty
    3. phalanx
To all of them I offer links on my page about Chess and OS/2

  3. For the lazy people that don't read documentation ;-)
To play a first game try e.g.
    xboard -fcp "crafty xboard"
